Men’s Group

Why a Men’s Group?

Our men’s group isn’t just for men who are bursting to swing a hammer, do some gardening, pull out some weeds or trim a hedge.  It’s far more practical than that!  It’s to strengthen men to be God’s men, by mutual sharing of our own experiences of seeking to grow in the knowledge of our living Lord.  And for that we need strength.

But putting all that aside, we also look forward to sitting around and chatting over a cuppa’ strong tea, which is also invigorating.

Building Relationships

The group meets every Wednesday morning from 9:00-11: 00 am. Some days we have breakfast together but after that, we always don our thinking caps to “dig” into the Scriptures. We want to see what they have to say about the role of Aussie men who follow Christ in today’s world. God’s men are so different because they stand on God’s values and that often brings them under the hammer of criticism and mockery, which means we need each other.

The Power of Encouragement

Above all, we constantly seek to encourage one another to grow up into Christ and be the men God wants us to be. Every now and then we throw the group open and invite the ladies to join us for a shared breakfast.
