Importance of Friendship

Anyone who doesn’t have a friend can feel lonely, abandoned, and discouraged. But once a month, on the second Friday, our mature in years but young at heart meet at 9:30 am for fellowship, fun, food and above all to enjoy the friendship of our peers.  We soon learn that we don’t grow old alone, and even this can be an encouragement to others.

We enjoy occasional excursions to not-too-distant places of interest, concerts and games that provoke lots of laughter.

What’s the Focus?

The general focus is walking with God in our “golden” years and enjoying and serving Him within the limitations we have. A delightful morning tea and a brief meditation on a Bible text caps off the morning.
